Last newsletter I introduced AMAZING WORLDS, I have had a lot of questions about the AI images used and the Prompting.
So I made a video called WHAT INSPIRED AMAZING WORLDS?
I have also created a lesson plan based on using the AMAZING WORLDS as a INTRO to talking about AI.
I used teacher lead demos of student PROMPTS. This gets around the problem of students under 13 using AI, an is actually the best place to start, it opens up the discussion and students start to see what’s possible using AI.
TAKE UP THE CHALLENGE and start the discussion about what AI can do today. There’s no excuse now the Lesson Plan lays it all out.
AMAZING WORLD is a NEW genre in Children’s Picture Books - AI Illustrated.
It’s time AI came out of the closet. It has been controversial, but it opens creative possibilities for writers, educators and CHILDREN.
At the moment I am deep into Human & AI collaboration in telling great Narrative StoryTelling for brave, resilient, courageous and adventurous children ages 3 to 103 or anyone who likes monkeys. StoryTelling for all Humans, great hopeful stories, no agenda.
A New Jumper, A New Jumper with some Monkey Business, What a Disaster! all with videos and books. What a joy to be able to control the whole process.
HERE’S to more amazing adventures.

AMAZING WORLDS - Lesson Plan
There are 5 Sessions in the series. Each session is about 90 mins, except the last session which is about 2 x 90mins. Supported by the AmazingWorlds Digital Book, AMAZING WORLDS Book Video and What Inspired Amazing Worlds.
Session 1 is an Introduction to Amazing World & AI-Generated Images.
Here are the Learning Objectives:
• Read AMAZING WORLDS Book
• Understand what AI is and how it is used to create images.
• Discuss the role of human creativity and AI collaboration.
• Explore the relationship between words and AI-generated images
Here is a simple Definition of AI for the lesson
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a type of computer technology that follows instructions to
create things like pictures, music, and stories.
AI does not think or learn like a human, it uses a large collection of information
(a dataset) and follows patterns to generate responses based on what it has been trained on.
For example, when you type a prompt like
“a purple dinosaur wearing sunglasses” This one is 3D.
AI looks through its dataset, finds patterns related to dinosaurs, sunglasses, and the colour purple, and combines them to create an image. If the result isn't quite right, you can change your prompt to improve it!
Each lesson lists Learning Outcomes here they are for Session 1 - NSW
Stage 2: EN2-OLC-01, EN2-RECOM-01, EN2-UARL-01, EN2-VOCAB-01, ST2-1WS-S, ST2-2DP-T
Stage 3: EN3-OLC-01, EN3-RECOM-01, EN3-UARL-01, EN3-VOCAB-01, ST3-1WS-S, ST3-2DP-T

SynthSational
I often throw in something like this for CHALLENGE for a small group or as a whole Class.
I usually start with a quick demo to help students navigate the interface and remove any barriers, this SynthSational video does the trick.
STUDENTS PLAY AROUND with it and chat about theAPP in pairs in small groups, you know I love working like this.
STUDENTS EXPLAIN how the APP works.
There are a number of options here,
- As a written story - An Explanation or Procedure.- As a book using BookCreator or Canva using screen shots
- As a screen recording and a VoiceOver in iMovie
AUDIENCE Present their final work to the class, to another class so they can use the app, to their parents so they can see how brilliant their kids are.
Their explanation should be clear, engaging, and useful to others, this is where we assess how well they’ve communicated the app's purpose and process.CHALLENGE create a piece of music using SynthSational and added to your iMovie project as a sample of what’s possible.
In doing this, students are not only using voiceover and music scoring, they’re pushing the boundaries of the app, showcasing creativity, and mastering the art of explaining digital tools to others with clarity and flair. It’s SythSational.
